London Gold features extended trading hours from Monday to Friday, so many users may still hold open positions on Fridays. However, before the weekend arrives, please note that the platform’s account rules may differ from those during regular trading sessions. Lucky Gold applies separate margin requirement standards for regular trading hours and weekends.

1. What Is the Difference Between Regular Sessions and Weekends

Lucky Gold adopts a forced liquidation threshold of 30% or lower during regular trading hours.

For weekends, the rule is: Corresponding actions will be triggered when the margin level falls to 200% or below.

The weekend threshold is therefore substantially higher than that on regular trading days. If you plan to keep orders open over the weekend, you cannot rely solely on the 30% figure.

2. How to Understand the 200% Threshold

200% also refers to the account margin level. It does not mean a 200% price swing, nor does it mean the account suffers a 200% loss.

It represents the account handling standard enforced by the platform for weekends.

Therefore, near Friday’s market close, users should directly check the relevant percentage in their MT5 accounts instead of judging solely based on the profit or loss of a single order.

3. When Does London Gold Close for the Weekend

For Lucky Gold’s London Gold and London Silver, trading under daylight saving time runs until 04:55 on Saturday.

Under standard winter time, trading continues until 05:55 on Saturday. Excluding statutory holidays and special international market closure arrangements.

Late Friday night is still part of the regular trading cycle. If you intend to keep orders open through the weekend, you must also pay attention to weekend account rules.

4. Why Orders Cannot Be Handled the Usual Way During Weekends

After the weekend close, London Gold and London Silver enter a market closure period.

This means users cannot adjust orders anytime they wish as they can during regular trading hours.

The platform resumes trading only when the next regular trading session begins. Lucky Gold opens at 06:05 on Monday under daylight saving time and at 07:05 on Monday under winter time.

Accordingly, account status before the weekend close is not identical to the account status during regular weekday trading.

5. Key Figures to Check on Friday

The most important items to review are: Current trading lot size, account equity, margin level, and pending orders still in place.

If multiple orders are open, you may also go to the MT5 trading section in advance to reconfirm the status of each individual order.

For Lucky Gold London Gold and London Silver, the minimum per-trade lot size is 0.01 lot and the maximum is 10 lots. There is no cap on total open lots. When multiple trades exist in the account, you must focus on overall account data rather than only one single position.

6. Is Partial Position Closing Available Before the Weekend

Within regular trading hours, full or partial position closing is available on MT5.

For example, if you currently hold 0.5 lots, you may close part of the position and keep the remaining lots in accordance with the actual trading rules.

Whether you need to perform such an operation depends on your own trading plan.
