One: Core Driver Analysis

The Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 25 basis points to the 4.00%-4.25% range on September 18, as expected by the market. This cut lowers the cost of holding gold, making it a more attractive option as an asset that earns no interest.

The Federal Reserve expects another 50 basis points cut in 2025 and plans to keep a loose policy in the coming years. This low-interest environment is good for gold in the long term. Fed Chair Powell said the policy focus is shifting from inflation to jobs, suggesting more steps to support economic growth.

At the same time, Powell stressed that the rate cut is a risk management decision and does not need quick changes. This careful statement may limit gold price gains in the short term. With both positive and negative factors at play, the demand for gold as a safe asset remains strong.

Two: Gold Technical Strategy

Gold price successfully broke through the 3760.00 resistance level, reaching a high of 3770.00 as the target, and is now around 3765.00. On the 15-minute chart, the price has entered a new sideways consolidation pattern.

Operation suggestions:

Stop-loss: Below 43.320
